His favorite quote is “Music is like breathing, I need it to survive”. Jameel was born in Statesville, NC and presently resides in Fredericksburg, VA.

“Ready2 serve u” is the title of his newly released CD. This self produced CD is a soulful mix of smooth ballads and funky upbeat R&B, Hip hop and Pop styling’s that provide the perfect transition between styles for the listener that enjoys various types of music. Jameel has continued to write and produce music for many new up and coming artists and many well known artists, so there are no limitations ahead for Jameel Jahmay.

It has been several years since he began this journey and he feels confident that the formal training that he has received, along with performing at The Apollo Theatre and performing with the likes of EU and Chuck Brown will prepare him for the many challenges that he will ultimately face in the music business for years to come.
